John James and Caoimhe face eviction!

Earlier today, housemate Shabby left the house but Big Brother still insisted that the housemates took part in nominations. The nominations concluded and it was revealed by Big Brother's Little Brother presenter Emma Willis that John James, the Australian hunk and Caoimhe, the Irish diva are both up for eviction. This is the first time that only 2 housemates are up for nomination this series. Who will be going out on Friday? I want Caoimhe to go as I wouldn't be able to take life without that fittie JJ who puts JLS to shame on the hot factor.

Who do you want to go? Post a comment below.

Justin Bieber jokes over death rumours

We all know that people make up silly little rumours about celebrities being dead and they must have alot of spare time on their hands to spread the message. The only thing worse than believing a death rumour, is the person who the rumour about responds to the rumour.

On his Twitter page, Bieber "tweeted" “I’m not dead. I had to check on this one…but it turns out I’m alive." He went on to slam rumours saying that “I have not joined the Illuminati or any other cult. I’m a Christian and I pray before every show and am thankful for every blessing… 4- I’m not Peter Pan…I’m growing up and my voice will change."

I bet this has upset some of you wierdos, but for now this is all good news.

Over and out from Beetrum.

Lady Gaga - Queen of Facebook?

To start of with, this year Gaga has had alot of success. She's had the first video to top 1 billion views on YouTube with Bad Romance. Then when she released her video Alejandro it crashed Twitter (not very hard to do, I admit) AND her website before getting 36 million views. Now she has become the first living thing to get past 10 million fans on Facebook. To thank her little monsters, she posted this video. Even though she has the record for living thing, she is beaten by the likes of Michael Jackson and a Facebook game called Texas Hold'em.

All in all, Gaga is sixth in the rankings behind the TV show Family Guy, another Facebook game called Mafia Wars and behind Facebook itself!

Pokemon Soul Silver Review

I know it's a bit past the release date, but I have been asked to make a review of Pokemon Soul Silver, the modern-day DS remake of the classic GB Pokemon Silver. The alternate game is Heart Gold- a remake of Pokemon Gold.

So first, I unbox the game and inside the box is:

  • Game Cartridge
  • Instruction Manuals
  • PokeWalker
Now, the PokeWalker is a pedometer in the shape of a PokeBall which you put a Pokemon inside (once captured in game) and you take it to different "paths" (paths are just areas you find different Pokemon in) and go on a walk. Each time you go for a walk you will be gathering steps and watts (if you are walking properly) and you can either keep these and put them back on the game when the walk is over (to unlock new paths) or spend them on the PokeWalker. On the PokeWalker you can either:
  • Use the PokeRadar - go Pokemon Catching (10W)
  • Go dowsing - Item finding (3W)
  • View your trainer card - Trainer, route you are on and walking status.
  • Pokemon & Items - Shows the Pokemon on the PokeWalker and the items you've gathered.
  • Send the Pokemon back to the DS

So anyway, the game starts and everything is explained well. You play as a boy or a girl, your name, who everyone is, how everything is used and so on. You get to pick your starter Pokemon from Professor Elm- your towns PokeProf. The choices of starters are:
  • Chikorita (Grass)
  • Cyndaquil (Fire)
  • Totodile (Water)
In the game your goal is to beat the Pokemon League- a build-up of Pokemon Gyms and the Elite 4, fill up your Pokedex (by catching every Pokemon) and to get a perfect team with the strongest Poke going.

The gameplay is fun, but repetitive and the graphics are much better than that of the previous DS Pokemon games, but when entering some places, an annoying Eyecatch shows.

The game also features an Olympic type minigame, featuring mini minigame courses in which you can win prizes.

Overall, the game is a fine work of Nintendo gaming- but the constant battling gets repetitive (and darn right annoying) after a while. Considering all the factors this game has I will be giving it a:

93%

+ Good graphics
+ Well recreation of the classic games
+ New features are good
- Gameplay gets repetitive after a while

Nintendo 3DS

The Nintendo 3DS is the next games console to be produced by Nintendo. According to Nintendo it will provide "3D vision without the need of special glasses."

It will be the successor to the DS console line which has had 4 different variates of DS:
  1. Nintendo DS
  2. Nintendo DS Lite
  3. Nintendo DSi
  4. Nintendo DSi XL
The 3DS will feature backwards compatibility with the DS series, as well as DSi software.
Nintendo revealed the prototype of the 3DS at the E3 gaming convention in 2010 and has since then been the discussion by many gamers.

The 3DS will have these features;
  • 230 gram weight
  • 130x72x20 mm dimensions
  • Top Screen - 3.53"
  • Touch Screen - 3.02"
  • 3 Cameras
  • Wifi
A list of games have already been released, so here are the ones I am looking forward to:
  • Animal Crossing
  • A Boy & His Blob
  • Bomberman
  • DJ Hero 3
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
  • LEGO
  • Mario Kart 3DS
  • Nintendogs + Cats
  • Professor Layton & the Mask of Miracle
  • The Sims 3
The first batch of 3DS's will be released before April 2011.
